It’s been a long year and there’s always still progress to be made, but I am proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. I’ve always been decently confident in my body, but last year when hiking through the grand canyon, and my grandmother was at the top of trail, and I at the bottom, utterly out of breath, that was the moment I realized I needed a change. Not just for appearance, but for my health. I was in terrible shape and needed to do something about it quick, while I was still young. I began eating cleaner and running when I returned home a week later. Two months ago I joined the gym to build up some muscle mass to fill in the fat loss. I still have a way to go towards my dream body, but I’ve made it so far and have never before liked looking in the mirror more. And not only that, but now I can run for a few miles and not drop dead, and I can lift heavier than I could ever dream of. Never did I think I would look forward to putting on my sneakers and working up a sweat or eating healthy. But here I am. :)

Seeing this picture has made me so proud! Going to keep working. I still need to Incorporate exercise but a huge family emergency has been going on the last few weeks. Dealing with a custody battle :(

There was a promise I made to myself about 2-3 years ago, that I would get a skirt I wanted REALLY bad, but that I would but it in a size that does not fit me. To strive for that skirt.

I have long awaited the day, and today is it. :) Love this skirt even more today. [It’s a fake leather with a small amount to shine to it]
